our mission

We offer an overview of the changing requirements

The revision of the legislation in the field of money laundering created complex structures, which also have a major impact on the precious metals industry. The changes are complex and can quickly overwhelm market participants. As a result, companies dealing with precious metals do not have a sufficient overview of regulatory requirements.

Our mission is to provide market players in the precious metals industry with an overview of the complexity of the regulatory requirements and to advise them so that they can offer legally compliant and conflict-free services in the precious metals sector that comply with international anti-money laundering law.

The Global Precious Metals Code of the LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) contains the standards and best practices that are expected from market participants in the precious metals industry worldwide.

This code defines a transparent, fair and secure market in which the participants act according to best practice guidelines and adhere to common principles such as ethics, compliance and risk management, information exchange or business conduct.

Participants in the international wholesale precious metals market are expected to comply with and act in accordance with the principles of this Code.

The primary goal of the SPMI is to adopt this code in the national market and national legislation.

The LBMA is the international trade association that coordinates gold and silver bullion activities in the London market. It sets out the guidelines for weight, appearance and marking that give gold and silver bullion the internationally recognized Good Delivery status.
